Couple of things almost guaranteed;
1. Weld nut will break loose inside the body.
2. Bolt will be siezed to sleeve in the bushings.

No lie, it sux.

I've replaced the leaf springs on 3 of my Cherokees and have only had one welded nut break loose on me...start soaking everything with a good penetrating oil a week or two in advance and you should be good

Some jeep lift are easy and go smooth. Some are a ROYAL PIA.

I have lifted 2 jeeps. One was a piece of cake didn't break a single bolt not even shock bolts.

the other.... OMG it was one where everything was broken and or siezed.

Im not trying to thread jack but im in the process of putting new 4.5 packs in mine..any suggestions for getting the pack to the shackle. Im about an inch short. My shackles are NOT coming out they are stuck. Would it be easier to bolt to the shackle first?

I bolted to shackle first then set it up as close as i could get to the front mounting point and then started jacking the spring up with floor jack. It will eventually start sliding into place. Then pry on top to line the hole up. After some more moaning whining and complaining it might slide in enough to start the bolt. It will be stubborn.

Remember to take breaks.

Ok so I did it and one side was easy but the shakle was a pain but I put a breaker bar on the bolt for it and turned it toward to line it up with the spring but the other side was um let's say.......... The shakle was about 2 inches short and I couldn't move it but a 4x4 and a floor jack made it slide right in to place... But now the back end is way up hope it will settle
