Installing gears?
I just got some 33s and now the next thing in line is gears. I am not sure if I would be able to do the installation myself due to all the fine measuring and just the whole process. Would it be a good idea to take it to an off road shop and have them do it? I guess what im asking is can i trust them to do this? Is it possible to install something wrong and cause failure and a whole in my wallet?
Thanks
Thanks

right, thats why i said i dont think i can do it. But i want to make sure its not so difficult that i would have to take it to some specialty shop out of town
has anyone on here taken it to a shop to get done? how much was it for them to install the gears for the front and rear?

the labor on this kinda thing is soooooo much more than doing it your self. you could do it mess it all up and do it again 3 times be for it "worth" it to take it in and have it done.

true. but by "messing up" i dont want to cause any damage to anything else internally or on the gears themselves that i would have just put quite a bit of money on

Shops around here charge about $800 including parts. That comes to about $250-300 for labor. Knowing what goes into setting them up and tools needed I think that's about right. Took me 4 hours to set up my front last time but I don't do it for a living.
