Hello,
I just joined today! We just purchased a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. We have two boys and are needing to install car seats. The seatbelt locks the seats in, but is there a way to use the hooks provided with the car seats and properly attach them. I found a device on Amazon, but it is not safety rated. Any suggestions?

there was a factory option for those hooks. I have em in my 2001. They bolt in above the rear hatch opening.

You don't see them often in the boneyard, at least I haven't, and when they do come up for sale on Ebay (haven't seen any for quite some time now) they ain't cheap.
One time I did come across a set in the boneyard. Knew somebody that was looking for them so grabbed them up.
