Mounting the amp on the box won't work, I'm always taking my sub out for more storage when Im hauling a lot of stuff. its a pain to unplug all the wires
I'd like it higher than the seats cause my jeep tends to get wet on the inside, not trying to fry my amp.

I have the wet floor syndrome in the back of my jeep lol the carpet in my cargo area is soaked right now havent had time to pull the carpet up yet.
I'm hooking up my amp and sub this weekend. I don't want it under a seat or anywhere it can't get enough airflow. I already tore my headliner out with no intentions on replacing it.
Would it be stupid to mount my amp on the ceiling all the way in the back, behind or under the speaker bar? Otherwise I'm cutting up my rear panels to make it fit in that little space behind the right wheel.

Obviously, don't attach it directly to the ceiling, as that's the roof panel. If you've got a sound bar, better to attach it to that. Else, make one - you'll be better off that way.
With some work; you can also get a new headliner board, reinforce it, and mount your amp to the headliner - with the wiring tucked up under it and passing through direct at the amplifier. I've done it that way a few times as well, using quick-connects to allow me to pull the headliner out again (usually something like CPCs or Anderson Powerpoles for the amp power, and CPCs or similar for the audio signals.)

I had the same problem, I just cleaned out the leaves and compost and all the gunk from the rubber seal at the top of the rear hatch and the leak stopped.

Yeah it should be easy to hide the wires, making a new sound bar is a good idea. I wanted to put some bigger speakers back there anyways.
Fortunately I only get water in the front under the two front seats and all over the floor there.
