Injectors leaking fuel...
So im driving along in my new baby. (87 Cherokee 4.0) When it looks like smoke starts coming out of the hood. Pull over, its actually fuel leaking from my injectors and dripping on the headers. This jeep just moved from about 20 weather to -30 wheather. It definately didnt do this before i brought it to the cold. Maybe something froze up? Maybe something else?? Any ideas?

New orings.
Might need to pull the injectors out and put new orings on maybe?
Super easy.
While your in there get new injectors put in. Research 703's on these forums. Cost you roughly $60 from someone here on the forums.

1) Buy a fire extinquisher and mount it in your jeep. Mine in on the left support for the driver's seat.
2) Dry everything out and then presurize system (key on 2 seconds no start) and verify where leakage is comming from. My 90 had 2 injectors that leaked at the plastic to metal interface in the middle of the injectors.
3) Replace all o-rings, and if necessary, the injectors. I replaced mine from a newer XJ before I discovered this site and the benefits of the 703 injectors.
4) Verify that nothing is leaking (repeat step 2 three or four times).
5) Check the charge on your fire extinquisher every 2 months. Nothing worse to me than seeing a burned out Jeep (or other vehicle) due to a small fuel leak that led to a small and then progressively larger fire.
Happy Wheeling!

definitely check the o-rings. I had this same problem from an injector and imagine my surprise when I came to find a chunk missing out of the o-ring
