Default injector questions

what are some 30-40lb injectors that are a quick swap/fit without modding?

why 30-40lb? You would need to be stroked and FI for that much fuel

Since you have a 96, any of the popular ones are a quick swap because you have a the integrated regulator. You can go with the Dodge Neon injectors or the Ford 19 lb stick style injectors out of a 5.0 Explorer. I went with the Ford style and my mileage went from 11.8 MPG to 13.2 MPG, so they do work. I didn't change my driving habits or treat it any differently.

I think he means PSI, instead of pounds. Stock PSI at the rail is right around 49 for the 96' up.

You might want to figure your power goal before buying injectors... 30#-40#rs aren't going to support a large power goal.

i believe we have a map sensor (manifold absolute pressure). a maf (mass air flow) meter goes inline from the filter to the throttle body so you would know if you had that.

ford lightening pick ups use 49lb injectors, if i remember right.

They would but as I understand it you are going to need an aftermarket computer anyway, witch will come with its own loom.- well the ones here in australia do anyways. and you may be getting new Map & temp sensors, that the new computer can read. TPS and IAC CPS & cks should be ok. - but again will depend on the computer you use.
