Hi all,

I've just brought my first Jeep ('98 2.5TD Limited) and love it!! Question is, I have the infinity system with amp and am wondering if I change the head unit will the amp still work, do I need to re-wire it, etc. Nothing wrong with the existing head unit, just want a CD player!!

should work, the amp will not know what head unit your using. Don't know about the possible difference in plugs.

 

Who is going to swap out the radio? You or a stereo shop can do it with the proper harness. The amp wire will be on the harness and you hook up the "remote" wire from the new radio to it and tada!
