Inertia switch location
My son rolled his 93 Grand Cherokee a couple years ago. He's never been able to restart it. I told him to find the inertia switch. The only thing he said he could find out about it was that it was "IN" the fuel tank. I told him "NO WAY" I'm more into Fords (Broncos) Mustangs and T-birds. The inertia switches are in the rear of the vehicle. So my question is where is the inertia switch?

I don't think that there is one on a ZJ or XJ. I've taken my fuel tank down and the pump out to fix the fuel gauge rheostat, and have not seen anything like the inertia switch on a Jeep. I've had my share of Fords, so I know what to look for, but you may need to ask a mechanic or find a ZJ FSM.

freegdr, I must disagree with you about the fuel no good now. It's good for cleaning the garage floor. I guess I'll be checking out the items you mentioned as soon as I get the efi 'stang motor installed in a friend's 69 Bronco. I was thinking about making the XJ into an off roader that I don't care what happens to. Good start???????? Or just selling off the power train and good body parts. I have a built to the hilt '66 Bronco and a wanna be '81 Bronco.
Thanks again for the come back. See ya on the trail some day.
