Default im lost...


i was told that you can find out which axle you have because of some stamp on/near the diff plate but i cant cant find it under all the dirt. can anyone tell me what these axles are and where is a good place to fine refurb kits for these and the transfer case?

you guys are awsome for the quick replies to all the questions i have. thank you very much. should i invest in refurbing these? i dont plan on going larger than 31" tires on this jeep...

I think those are both the Dana 35. If it was the Chrysler 8.25, there would be 3" diameter axle housing, and 29 spline axles. To be sure, you can measure the U-bolt inside to inside 3" eaquals Chrysler 8.25. Oops front is a D30

Upgrade the rear to a 8.25. You can find em way cheaper than a d35 rebuild. Plus bolt in.

what would be the pros of the swap? besides being cheaper than the rebuild?

Put the D35 on the front lol just kidding, if you don't do 4x4 and this is a daily commuter then don't worry about it the front too much. refurb kits? Napa? Pep Boys? Rock Auto I think has some, at least the parts. I like Rock auto.
