Description from www.custombatterycables.com says kit includes fusible link:
16 inch alternator cable. Only $25 This 4 ga alternator cable for inline 6 (I-6 4.0L) Cherokee and Grand Cherokee Jeeps is 16 inches (minimum) with a 5/16 straight lug for the fuse block connection and a fusible link with 1/4 inch lug on the alternator end. If you need a larger alternator lug for aftermarket high output alternator, please add comment at checkout. Some modification of plastic cover at fuse block connection may be needed.

But I do thank everyone here, I would have never thought of the wire failure, saved me from tearing the alternator back out... parts on order battery on charger as we speak
Dear lord I paid less than half that with with the KelleysWIP 4awg upgrade...

Lol, my power and ground cable are 1/0 too... the starter cable and alternator cable are 4 gauge, and I got the military terminals so I can properly attach my winch wires to them, now they just kind of hang off the side of the terminals.
