ignition switch for 91 cherokee sport
before i pull apart my steering column i just want to ask if i was on the right track -- just yesterday my jeep failed to start when turning the key - nothing (occasionally it will start but sounds like it is drawing a lot of energy) but mostly nothing at all -- i have taken to parking on a hill so i can roll start it -- i was thinking this was either the key cylinder or the ignition switch --- of late the turn signal has been failing to reset itself when turning so i have been doing it manually (although again at times it works)
doesnt sound like an ignition switch, if its pulling alot of amps to turn over, best check the connections at the starter and battery. if this doesnt correct it, get the starter tested. the ignition switch is on top of the column under the dash so pulling the steering wheel and all the guts out of wont help.
