Default Ignition Electrical Problems

So my Jeep been giving me some problems and I've been tackling it one at a time but this one has me stumped.

I have a I6 '89 Jeep Cherokee and I'm having a ignition/electrical problem.

My ignition is tight, sometimes I have to force it to start or else it never reaches "start" position. Recently it shorted out the radio, ac/fan, and turn signals. I checked all the fuse's and they are fine, I even replaced the old ones because I'm being paranoid. Nothing burned out but the radio won't turn on, fans don't work nor will the turn signal activate. The only time they work is when the key is in the "acc" position but once its in the "on" position they don't work again. I don't know if it shorted anything else out, I only know about these issues because it's apparent. Hazards work fine.

I haven't taken apart the steering column because I don't even know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
