Sir, I feel as though I must call your bluff on this. I tried it earlier in my garage and it simply resulted in a giant mess, and my garden hose on the side of the house doesn't reach that far to clean it out.

I bid you a good day sir!

Sheesh, I can't get mine past the 1/4 mark on the stock gauge. Replaced the water pump, hoses, thermostat, and did a flush (de-sludged cuz it was overheating almost in the red). I think my thermostat is stuck open cuz it's a 195 t-stat... Add that to my list of things to do this weekend... And yes, 200-210 is normal for a 195 t-stat...

As for the birth control comment, I told an idiot I work with that I'm surprised he had a kid, since every time him and his wife "get going", they stop and wait for the swelling to go down...

In cool/cold weather (rad & heater core removing heat), doubt it gets north of 200.

That's true. I was thinking with heat off and the normal "fully open" temp of a 190* t-stat. I get decent heat out of mine, but the temp gauge doesn't go above roughly 150* unless I'm in traffic and/or idling for a while, and I know that isn't right, so another t-stat is in the future. With as grungie as the coolant was (previous owner was not one for maintenance, coolant looked like swamp water and mud...), it probably stuck open when I did the flush a few weeks ago.
