Default Idle question and trac bar centering

After driving around for a half hour, I went to go put my jeep in park, when it park, It was idling around 1500 RPM. When I put it back in gear it went right back down and when I put it in neutral it obviously jumped back up to 1500. So I shut her down and started her back up and it was back to normal. So what might be going on my jeep???? Also where is the best place to measure to make sure ur front axle is centered under ur rig, I find the Lower control arm mounts to the center of the tire a great place to measure from? how do u guys do it?

you can just unhook the bar and push the jeep side to side and bounce it up and down that will normally center it up
