idle problems
I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee w/128k . I have had this problem for some time now. Hot or cold it does not matter. This problem does not happen all the time, but is now happening more often. At idle under a load the needle on the tach starts to jump between 700 rpms and 500 rpms. If the rpms and go anywhere below 500 rpms the engine stalls.It starts back up right away. You can slide the gear shifter into nutral and the rpms go back to 650 and stay there. Turning on the ac compressor (increasing the load) makes the problem go away. To date I have replaced spark plugs, cam and crank sensors, iac sol.,
tps sensor, computer reflash, injection cleaning, smoke test for any breaks in vacuum lines, removed throttle body and cleaned.
Does anyone else have this problem? I could really use some help!
