Default idle/die issues

I have an 89 cherokee with a 4.0. Today I fired it up to warm a some (-5) when I went to work. I had to stop at the lumber yard on the way to work. I left it idling in the parking lot for about 5 minutes. When I got in it to leave the jeep died when I put it in drive. It restarted ok but each time it came to an idle (stop lights, or turns) it would die. It continued this until I got to work. About 8 miles on the high way while running down the high way it did not have the usual power but limped it to work. When I got to work and started to back in my parking area. The thing idled and ran fine. Any ideas what could be wrong. Tuned up this past fall with new plugs, wires, rotor, etc. So I am looking for any suggestions.

Thanks
dp

Start with a thorough cleaning of the throttle body then check the TPS for proper setting and operation.

No gas smell at all. Just loss of power and died repeat at each stop. Died restart then die restart until I got to work. The jeep must like this place because it sure ran better here than any other place today.
