Default Identifying my steering column

I have an 87 Laredo and the column has been changed but I cant find what year had the same steering wheel as mine if anyone knows can you help me out I need to look for the plastics for mine it is tan right now and my interior is black I could paint but would like not to.

Looks like the one I put in from my 86. It doesn't really matter what year it is so long as it's pre-90 I think. They're all GM steering columns. The one I put in mine was blue but I painted it black and swapped the original steering wheel on.I have a black non-tilt steering column that just needs to be put back together and needs a steering wheel. That was the one I took out of my Jeep. I wanted to put a tilt column in mine. I just sanded it REALLY good and painted it with Krylon Fusion. I need to sand it and repaint it though to get it smooth.

Yeah, the thing is already painted from the factory anyway. You don't necessarily have to use Fusion, but I have had good luck with that stuff on interiors. I always sand EVERYTHING before I paint it too. I don't care what the can says. I work in a bodyshop and I know that nothing beats a sanded surface for paint to grab a hold of.

You have a Saginaw column, same as an 86 Chevy S-10 and many other GM vehicles.
