IAC Question
Ive had an IAC problem for awhile now buts its got progressively worse. Unlike before were it only acted up sometimes now it seems everytime i start the jeep it will idle at 3000+RPM for 20-30 seconds.
So im looking to order a new IAC and im wondering if they are universal over the years. I have an 88 Renix, Will i need to purchase one for a 87-91 4.0?

look on a parts store website and cross reference the part numbers. I assume the obd2 motors vs. the obd1/0 will be different. But I could be incorrect. Just a suggestion.

Auto Zone has them for '88 renix. i paid around $48. something for mine, be sure to read the little instruction sheet that is in the box before installing it!
