Default I4 axle question
I was at the jy the other day and found an 88 (if I remember correctly) with the I4 engine, still had both axles and everything, my question is did all I4 come with 410? I didnt have time to pull the cover or look for a tag. Also what years were the vac disconnects used? Thanks for any help

Thats what I thought, just wasnt positive. Is the front axle of an 88 a vac disconnect?

Vac disco front axle unless it has the NP242 tcase. The vac disco axle was only used with the NP231 tcase.

Guess ill have to take another look at it. How much weaker is the d35 than the 8.25? Would it be worth it to have the 410s?
