Figured id just put my two cents in, personally i love jeeps, best vehicle ive ever owned, gotten me where ive needed/ wanted to go no major problems yet, and the problems it has had, ive successfully pounded almost broken parts way longer than i should have before replacement.

A jeep isnt suitable for everyone though, most of us would like to think so but in the long run we all find the perfect vehicle for us and our needs...simple as that.

No need to bang up on eachother for expressing opinions right?

I feel a car kinda finds its owner....and the owner notices at the same time, idk everyone has different thoughts and ideas and shouldnt necessarily be attacked because of that...

Not trying to be rude or anything, just figured id put in my 2 cents, and to the OP if you sell it theres lots of us out there who would love to give it a new home!!

Did you buy the jeep lifted? That is something else I won't do. You can be sure that the PO beat the **** out of it, before selling it.

I read through the post but didn't see that you mentioned how many miles were on the Jeep. How many miles are on it?

how many miles are on it,how well was it maintaned? My 87 has just over 260,000 on it now.when I bought it I replaced all the normal wear and tear items put on my lift, and have had not one issues or problems.Sounds like you are just giveing up on it,so its got some bugs get rid of them, don't give up.

Aside from regular maintenence and replacing some worn out parts I have not had any real problems with mine. Mine is over 20 years old so that is to be expected. I couldn't be happier with it.

He might not respond. He was pretty upset. His ranting was removed from the site.

also it was said that it was garage kept all its life and maintained at a dealership....if that is so the preacher should get all his money back because if the second owner has had to repair all that then what did the dealership do while "maintaining it"

Also kind of funny you mention your ranger. I had a friend at one time who had a little ranger and did nothing but complain about how much work he had to keep putting into it. Oh well different cars for different people and we have all had bad experiences with cars before.

Good luck with the sale though!

Japanese is better? then why does my buddys celica leak a quart of oil every couple days? (I'm trying to get him to let me fix it...lol)

Every car/truck regardless of make will turn into a POS real quick when not properly maintained!
I'm thinking of selling my jeep too, and getting a prius.........HA!

i am 19 years old, and i have put almost every dollar into my cherokee that i have made. i bought it when i was 15 years old and have been building her since. i have had major problems with it, but it has been my own fault and i know this. the jeep is 18 years old. 1991 limited. you cannot buy a old vehicle and think that it wont break on you. that is like buying a kia and thinking every one of their vehicles are going to run 200,000 miles and keep you safe.. thats just not good thinking. i have blown the engine up and i drove home with a crack in the block.. it never dies.. it was blowing oil out the side and still would fire right up. (had a new engine waiting for it, and PO didnt take care of it, i knew this would happen some time) it was my faullt i blew it up just like how i have burnt 3 transmissions in it. all my fault, but when you beat a vehicle you cant expect nothing less. i think that cherokees are one of the best vehicles made out there.. when there are countless number of members on here saying they have 250,000+++ miles i am pretty sure they are not crappy "lemons". i have had 3 xj's now and one has 270,000 miles on it and gets the **** beat out of it by my dad at badlands about 6-10 times a year. no i do not drive it on the road, and yes it is a trailor queen to the places that i go with it, but that is because i know that i beat the **** out of my jeep. i drove that jeep everyday in highschool and i never had a problem with it. oh and just a lil FYI the automatic in jeeps is japanese anyway AW-4. i dont think it is nice of you to post a thread about how a cherokee is a piece of **** in a forum of cherokee lovers. if that is why you are on this forum please keep it to yourself.. that is not what this forum is for. it is for people who love xj's not people who hate them, so asking nicely just keep it to yourself because like myself no one likes to hear you come here and bash them... go on a ranger forum and tell them how much you like your ranger... not here.....

LOL @ prius! I said that same thing the other night when I kept seeing the little prius ad at the bottom of the forum.

I HATE the prius with a passion! They look just about the right size to be used as ramps to change my Jeep's oil with.
