throw it in 4wd and drive forward a bit, then throw it back into 2wd and back up til the light goes off.

Those do wonders for your clutch when you're on pavement....

I'd recommend a patch of dirt/mud/snow for this.

Dont do a burn out thats a lot of stress on pavement besides if your braking during it it wont tell you anything when ever mine sticks i do rock it back in forth forward and reverse for around 50 feet in each direction it works pretty well

good luck

Takes 30 seconds on the way home. If you really are stuck in 4wd, I'd get this checked out sooner over later. It could cause problems.

My light was on also, but I think that the axle motor was stuck, after reading and messing with the hoses and going forward and reverse for half the day the light works now , but it was like that when i bought it a couple weeks ago, in the process i made this diagram, maybe it will help. the diagrams online and in the book didn't tell you everything.
-only thing is that if the blue line hooks up to anything.
-and when the vacuum motor dose ever go out im going to a cable setup,
Do you have Command-Trac 0r Select-Trac ?
You can apply vacuum to unlock the axle, and raise up the right front and turn the front wheel to verify.
