Default i need t case help

ive rebult my t case... installed a sye ( it does it with the original shaft too) but, when i reasembled it, for some reason the main shaft sits to far down so i cant get the chain back in! the chain sit right on top of the synchronizer ring. is there somthin im missing. im sure i did it right any one else have this problem?

Both the rear and front output shafts shoudl be put in at the same time with the chain installed.

Working on this TC under the Jeep or on a workbench?

when i did my grand cherokee two years ago, it was a pain then also. just make sure you got everything lines up and that those little pieces that go between the case are in right.

other then that, keep trying. not much help but....

i guees ill just keep f^(k!n@ with it untill somthing works. im thinking about buying ANOTHER one and tearing it apart slowly and inspecting every piece to make sure i didnt forget somthing. iv looked at every parts diagram and exploded view out there a 99 np231 is different than the older versions thats whats so frustrating!
