Default i need some input and opinions/advice.

okay im 18yrs old and have had my 96 2wd xj for about two yrs. i love it. im not mechanically stupid by any means. but this is my build-ish list that i need help with.

1) rear locker? can someone hook me up with a how to link? and what about a budget locker?
2) how pricey is a 4wd conversion? like jy style.
3) what kind of wheelin can i do with this rwd xj? ive had enough time with the xj to know how to fix what breaks so im confident to try wheelin but i dont know what kind i should even attempt.
4) i want to do a 3" budget ebay lift. spacers and add-a-leaf. but being afraid of sag can i whip up some s-10s on top of the add-a-leaf? or should i juss get some IRO spacers and a bastard pack in the back?
5)extrememly off topic but my dashboard lights stoiped working but my turn signals and high beam indicator lights work. what do i do?

to make it easier you can juss put the number of the question being answered
instead of restating the question.

Thanks in advance!

Alright, basically if it isnt in great shape then you might as well find one thats already a 4X4. Thought the conversion isnt all that difficult, the junkyard parts and new seals and gaskets will run you around $700 or a bit more and around here, you can get a decent 4X4 for about $1500. If you keep it 2wd, and put a locker in the rear axle you will be surprised at how well it actually does off road. Though more capable at the dunes than a mud run, a locked 2wd does pretty good on your average trail.

for the 4wd conversion?
i mean if the rear locker will help me do some minor trailin then id be down for that and as the addiction increases ill look into the conversion.
i live in the city. like city city. its horrible for wheelin.
can anyone give me some pointers on doin the diff lock? im on a tight budget so best performance/dollar ratio is key for me.

theres some donors for like a grand on craigslist by my area but thats over stepin the budget.

I researched the lunchbox locker. Bassically a drop in.right?
I decided on the aussie locker only because the review are good and the price is good. I like the detroit locker because of the rep. But I als live 10min. Away from detroit. :P

any advice?
