Ok I can't figure this out please help locate this problem.
So I had a high idle, I checked tps, that other sensor right next to it, they sim to be ok. I found the problem to be vac leak, one by the map sensor and the other one I think it's a egr. It's right in front of the engine, it's like a can short and fat metal type. Driver side. Ok when I was checking for the leaks I accidentally moved a wire and melted the CPS connections. I changed the connector with some other two wire connectors. Started the car idle problem solved. Now it's got this shake in the car like you know when the old musel cars shake like a vibration in the car, in the motor. So I got a new CPS and cut the connector it came with and got the one I need it to connect to my car. The problem is still there. The car sims to fill ok and drives good but it also fills like it's being held back. The jeep is a 88 4.0, with220,000 miles and the muffler is og, can that be the problem? Or what can it be? I only had this car maybe like 6-7 weeks. I want to lift it 4" with 31's on 15x10 rims. I want to fix this before I lift the car or dump any money into it. I don't want to lift it and be 4x4in it and get stuck. Because of something like that. And is a flowmaster 50 I think? Is that the right one for this jeep?
