I'm not sure where the grounds are located offhand, try to find a wiing diagram then trace the wire off that, xenon is usually HID type lights, do some research on that before openig that can of worms. Key words there are HID vs halogen, lots of reason for you there
Does your headlamp switch connector look like this?

Yeah. It's the connector to the headlamp switch. Mine melted down and it affected the wires/insulation so I got a new headlamp switch and a new replacement connector (with 16" pig-tailed wire harness for splicing-in).
I will perform replacement within next two weeks because my headlamps and/or marker lamps are cutting-out randomly (like yours).

ok i bought tht harness and it came in yesterday. i hook it up like it said. when i turn my lights on my driver side light is dull and the other is really bright. when i turn high beams on the driver side one gets duller and the other gets brighter. when i go to cut high beams off and hold the switch the passenger side stays bright and the driver side cuts off. does anyone hav a clue wat could cause this. when i get home today im checkin to see if the driver side one is grounded good. and im replace my headlights sat and mayb my headlight switch.

If you are going to change your lights, I just got the IPF H4 Conversions and they are great. They are a little pricey, but they work great and I am extremely happy with them. They are at least double the brightness of the stock lights and I haven't changed the wiring on them yet. Planning on getting the ARB headlight wiring kit to go with the IPF lights. I think I paid about $160 for the 2 housings and 2 bulbs.

The problem with the 2001 and some earlier have issues with the load on the switch. You might need an independent wiring harness. Relays and fuse power from the battery. Blah blah. I can show you how to build it.

Recheck for good ground connections on the dull light.
The majority of the time when ones bright, and ones dim a bad ground is usually to blame.
I'll leave the long technicalities out this time lol, check the ground on that side for good connections and post back!

I don't think I asked if they were aftermarket, but that is a trait of HID or conversion kits. The system sees the change and it's like two kids fighting. I had to build my own harness from scratch. Haven't had problems since and mine did this.

i bought a harness and put it in tht other day. im goin to switch the lights today to see if it is dull on the passenger. i think it might jus b my stock light going out. the grounds were good. im taking the headlight switch back today to get a new one bc it is under there warranty.
