Can some one tell me what this is for?



The one on my jeep has a golf tee stuck in it.. lol

I'm thinking it has to do with the heater because mine is taken out..

ya florida here and 31 deg tuesday frooze my *** off then 38 on wed fix the heater now its 65 go figure

you dont need the valve just hook the hoses up and the heater works fine

That's pretty funny because my heater control valve vac line has a golf tee stuck in it as well!!! Wow what a coincidence! Yeah my hoses run directly to the heater core and it works fine. I was always wondering why a PO had removed the valve, after further reading I'm thinking maybe it leaked??? A really advanced AC tech once told me that you do need that valve for your AC to work efficiently. My AC is inoperative so I wouldn't know!!!

My AC works fine... But it seems like its tied in to the system.. From what it looks like my heater core blew up all inside the truck.. So I know it needs replaced..
