Default I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey i have a 94 jeep cheeke with a 97 motor in it.
its my first car the motor has like 60k on it but the body has 168k but i am haveing an ideling problem its ideling to hi in gear and in park and in nutrual.
its ideling at any where between 2000 and 1450 RPM's.
i have cheakd for vacum leaks but i cant find one any where i look and i have checkd the idel air control valve and thats good i have cleand them both with carb clean but i do know tht its not a blown head gasket..????????????????????????????
i realy want to know whats wrong with it because i am wasting gas like crazy like 15 in the city and i havnt dan anything to the body so its all stock

15 is not that bad lol and it really sounds like a vacuum leak

i have already cheakd that tonights ago but its still ideling to high i lookd at a jeep last night with the 40 in it and it was ideling at 750 i think that it is the TPS what should i set that to??????????

Replace IAC, idle stepper motor, PN 4874373.

i have already did that right at auto zone and when i started it up wright there it went up to 3grand and stad right there for like 5 sec then i killd it.
and thats the iac.
and the idel steeper motor????? wht is tht and where is it and i know that is stupid ????

the iac is the idle stepper motor. It should rev up at cold for 6-7 sec then gradually go down to 7/800 rpm when engine is hot.

it ideld right ONE TIME and that was saterday morning and i am thinkg that my tak could be off and i have already changed the AIR IDEL CONTROL BUT I REALY NEEDS A COOLENT FLUSH WOULD THAT CAUS IT TO IDEL HIGH OR DO I KNOW THT THE TPS CAN BE SET WHT SHOULD IT BE SET TO

There is no adjustments necessary on OBD 4.0's. Just the earlier Renix prior to 91 need adjusting.

Just swap the TPS in your 94 and hopefully it'll fix your issue.

If you have the '97 motor you'll need to get the IAC from the dealer. I've fought this issue on my brothers '97.

The '97 part is very tight tolerance. We tried 3 from autozone, 2 from Murry's and 2 from Napa.. Dealer was the only one that got the ideal back to normal..

hey NICK realy when you out the one up at autozone did your jeep rev up to 300 grand and stay right there that is what mine did
