Default I NEED HELP!!

I went to swap my CPS and one of the bolts that holds it on fell down the hole. Am I going to have to drop my Tranny to recover the bolt? I can't belive this happend Any info will help thanks guys

Does it have an inspection cover, pull that, if not the starter. Is the bolt stuck to the magnet on the flexplate? Maybe you can just reach in there & grab it. If not you really don't have to pull the trans just back it up enough to get the bolt out.

I dont see the bolt anywhere I sent the wife down to Orileys to get a snake type magnet hoping i will be able to get it out that way I didnt know the flex plat was magntized I have it on Jacks right now so you are saying pull the starter off so i can see an roll it back a bit with the hopes of it falling down ?

Pull the starter out & look in / poke around with the magnet in the hole. Does it have a sheet metal inspection cover?

Yea its the sheet metal flex plate I'm going to pop the starter off now

Ok I got the starter off I'm goin to start lookin can I turn the fly wheel with it out of gear so maybe it will pop out and drop down or should take it off the jack stands and roll it back a bit

Default I GOT THE BOLT!!!!!

ok I GOT THE BOLT but i canot find the washer!! I moved the fly wheel and the bolt poped loose and it droped I took the bolts to the flex plate off and was able to pry it open enough to get the snake magnet in their to grab the bolt but for the life of me I cannot find the washer so IM goin to button it up and hope for the best! Thanks for the help guys wish me luck

I wish i had a spare vehicle but i dont! I looked everywhere for that washer I cant find it. I fired it up it sounds fine but i havent took it for a test drive So i dont know how its going to run. i do know I have to work so........I realy cant afford to pull the tranny out to look for a washer Im going to test drive in a few Thanks for all your help I will report back in a couple of hours unless I break down

what do you suggest I have removed the starter to expose the inspection hole removed the bolts to the flex plate to sread just enough to get my fingers in their and i used 2 types of magnets to try too snake it out with no luck Im all ears
