I messed up

So i was trying to refill my oil last night and I come to realize its atf. I put about 4 cups. It was dark so I didnt see the color and I honestly only thought I had a pint of oil because I didnt remember buying tranny fluid. So how bad is this gonna be

Won't really hurt anything, used to be a somewhat common practice to run a quart of ATF in the oil to help clean out the engine.

If its going to bother you thinking about it all the time, just drain it all and refill it with oil. At that point there should only be remnants of ATF in there and probably wont do anything bad. If anything, it may swell up some gaskets and fix any tiny leaks you may not know about ahahaha...

Agree with the rest, won't hurt anything (especially the small amount you put in). Wasn't gonna respond since so many have already said "It's ok", but I figured one more post to help keep your anxiety about the issue at bay isn't gonna hurt anyone.
