Nice looking XJ, appears to be in good shape. Has it been kept up on maint, Tune-up, Coolant flush, diff and trans service? if not I wouldn't give any more than $4,000. Two negatives IMO are the cheepo no brand tires and flimsey Surco "bolt togather" rack, that appears to be on sideways

I looked at everything again today and it appears that the yoke doesn't go all the way up into the transfer case, maybe by about 3/4 inch.
Would a tc drop probably take care of this???

the little clunk is probably a u-joint. i agree with all that is indeed a chrysler 8.25 rear end. vibration could be tires or just the rear driveline. Id pay no more than 4 grand. Rims are factory off a yj.

dam thats a clean jeep. but remember this, its worth what your willing to give. and a tc drop wouldnt hurt if its just a 3inch lift or so, check the angle of the rear end too, could need shims. but id give him 4 grand for it, its very clean....

definatly knock him down on price, he can only say no?? i kinda like the rims lol. as for the roof rack a mate of mine ripped his off on a low branch, i prefer lower ones that bolt along the gutter, but you could pull it and flog it for a few hundred $ and save even more wonga on the deal??

It's Official.
Went over this morning and signed the papers. We had a very pleasant conversation about the things the XJ needed and what my concerns were. When I brought up the fact that he said something about his girlfriend getting fat and not being able to get into the lifted Cherokee, I talked him down some more!!!

Final deal was $3900.
