i just wanna know wth is this jeep doing!
i have a 88 cherokee larado... new water pump... head gaskets are fine and new......no problem with the heater core......but the thing keeps over heating and water keeps coming out the over flow tank and i cant keep the thing to stop over heating......i took the thermostat out so it aint that.....please help i love my jeep

i dont know exactly how old the radiator is but i never changed it the fans work and i actually rigged the fan to work as soon as the car is on the ''on'' positioni mean the radiator fan...i am super beat and i have no idea wut to do i am on my last nerve.....it was running fine then started getting hot and acting insane

Start simple... Flush the radiator. Burp the coolant. Change the rad cap. Change out the t-stat. Check for leaks, or weeping of fluid.
After which only a few remainders are left... Either a new radiator, a new fan clutch.
Not too familiar with the 88, but you've got to start somewhere.

dude man....! its running 260 and above i parked it but i thought it was head gaskets before but it was fine....!? i thought it was also the water pump....it was fine too...!? its over heating and flowing out the over flow tank cap but i am not sure wut to do........and for small distances to like about 10 miles it goes hella hot....it just start getting warm in the northwest washington state but i dont think that should be a reason ...it just got an oil change and slightly after it start overheating..

ill go flush the system and see if that helps but i had this done 2 months ago when i thought the heads were blown...!? should i do it again

No, I don't lick fish.

Beast, check the coolant reservoir for cracks, there should be no coolant coming from the reservoir. If the reservoir is in good shape, take the cap off (when it's cool) then start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, that should cycle any air bubbles out of the system. Make sure your heater is ON full hot when you do this so that you get any air pockets in the heater core as well. Then report back. If that doesn't fix it then we'll move on to the next step(s).

That is a closed system with no radiator cap but a pressure cap on the pressure bottle. Make sure you put in 3.5 gallons of coolant mixture.
Trust me with the amount and you will not have problems with "burping" the system anymore.
This is why people burp the system because there is still some needed. Fill it slow and it might take 4 warm up cycles to do it.

If the coolant bottle cap doesn't seal properly, you will have problems. That's not to say there aren't other issues though. For about $10 you can buy a better cap from Napa. Part # 703-1396. Start there and see if there's any improvement.
