How about replacing the dome light with one that has a switch,like the rear one?
Or from another car/truck.

I have not attempted this, but the plunger size seemed to be close to a match. If you would like to disable the plungers than what 93_xjcherokee mentioned will work.

I dont need to be able to cut them off that bad. There are 5 overhead plus the footlights. Thats a lot of switching out and rigging up for something that really isnt that important to me. Im only asking because I figured I was missing something simple.
