fuel pump or filter? Check your fuel pressure would be my guess, fuel pump over heating maybe from trash in the tank?

Well I would say I'll try that but I can hold it at 3,000 rpm all day. It only quits while driving

Try to isolate the problem. The best way to determine which sensor is killing it out (or if fuel pump) If you have a multi meter you can back probe the wires on the coil. Put the postive on the key on power wire and the ground probe on the other wire and set the multi meter for dc voltage. When the vehicle is running you will see a consistant voltage peak on the meter from battery voltage to 5.5v. When the truck stalls , watch the meter while cranking, if no voltage change then the crank sensor is bad. If the voltage spike is there the the camshaft sensor has failed. Gray wire with white chaser is the ECM supplied ground and the dark green is battery power
