Another tire worth looking at is the General Grabber AT2, very aggressive and works great both on and off road. Also that is a D35 but don't discredit them. They can be very good axles if taken care of.

That picture is not a D44, dude. I think you posted the D35 by acciddent.

This kid is in the Army. Which means he doesn't have money falling out of his *****. Don't buy Old Man Emu if you're on a budget. Great quality but, HUGE price tag. Get a Rough Country lift. Great quality and good price tag. I do have to agree with the guys on the Thornbirds, though. I've never personally owned a set but, just look at them. Very gnarly looking sidewalls and not very aggressive what so ever on the face. There are much better choices in tires at waaaaaaaay lower prices. Take a look at the Treadwright website.

Can anyone post a picture of a d44 and maybe a link to a swapout howto?

"all most a direct bolt in" i just did it.
The leaf spring center pin heads were to small on the Dana 35 for the Dana 44 i had to drill out the leafs to get the bigger size pin head in.
The other problem is the yoke is about an inch further forward so drive shaft might need to be shortened. i haven't got a chance to bolt it up and check for binding but its close even with the 4" lift.
Also grab the 44's u bolts and plate there bigger.
will see what else when its completed.
