There's an easy way to pull the ignition cylinder out but I can't remember. You gotta stick a screwdriver in the column somewhere, turn the key and it pops right out. If everything tests fine, I'd give that a try.

 

99superjeep01, only thing that leads to believe it's NSS over your other issue is it had 2 sketchy starts in 2 days...

 

Gotta be either NSS or your starter. Id pull the starter and have it tested just cause its simple to unbolt and take off.

 

Ah ok. Well, it was an idea.

 

Put it neutral. Foot on brake. Turn the keyy to start it and leav it in that position and wiggle the shifter around. Works every time for me

 

Tried, nothing. But now getting clicks. So will pick up a new starter.

 

was the starter, then a month later the cam sensor...

 

I had power and no crank and it ended up being a relay on driver side mounted to the quarter panel
