went wheeling by the house today....4wd doent work. light comes on in 4hi and 4lo..you can feel it engage and tell the t case is engaging but front tires dont spin neither one... vac lines are hooked up in front but doesnt engage front axles for somereason... any suggestions?

 

did you try going in reverse for a few meters?

 

yes. only thing i noticed is the vac canister on axle is lose it spins...

 

you might want to use the mechanical replacement this way you can just use a switch to engage it verses the vacuum method that can fail some times

 

i would try to find a non disco front dif or u can find axles from a non disco front and and replace those

 

you just need to get a plate to cover the vacuum port on the axle this way you only need the seal in the diff to not the ones in the disconnect

 

i got it to work but i dont trust vac disco...never have...

found a set of chromoly shafts from hp dana 30 for 400 bucks... is those and a plate to cover the vacume port all i need to convert to non disco?
