Default I have a 94, could i put my stuff into a 98

i have a 94 2 door with a auto tranny and 231 transfer case, i have came across the opportunity to acquire a 98 4 door with no motor, tranny, transfer case or axles, could i swap over everything to the newer jeep or would there be conflicts?

if I am not mistaken the only thing that changed on xjs was some control changes, drive train remained the same, and if you are putting your motor and trany in the 98,all you would have to do is swap wiring harneses.

What Control Changes? Yeah i would put everything coils, .5 spacer, control arms, track bar, shocks, brake lines, steering stablizer, tires, engine, 231 w/ sye, rear 8.25 axle, front axle leafs, shackles, tires, roof rack, lights, discos, exhaust, bumper, complete motor, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, and all the other things...has anyone done this, how long you think it would take with 3 people?

Whats your all opinions on going with newer bodies? I like the older look better, but this one happens to be a 4 door and i gotta make it be easy for a baby. (2 doors are better)

so do you all think 125 is too much for a 98 4 door, power everything...
no motor or front axle, and no suspension. Is it too much to bother with?

if it is clean otherwise I do not think it is to much at all,the control changes I was refering to is the engine controls, the 94 is not the same as the 98,minor changes and mainly to the connectors,it would just be easier to put your harness in the 98.

need to look at the rear end in that 98 and see if it's the chrysler 8.25 or the dana 35. The 8.25 is by far the better rear end. can't garauntee it'll be geared the same as your front axle though so you might have to regear them to match before you could use your 4 wheel drive. Also if you can find an intake manifold for a 98 with fuel rails and such, you may not have to swap the wiring harness (though I'm not 100% on that), and it would gain you a few extra horsepower in the end. Other than that, I'd think the 2 door has a shorter driveshaft than a 4 door for the rear? but I'm not sure on that either. Someone here should know.

for $125 how can you go wrong? you could just sell parts off it and make your money back. What are you going to do with the 2 door. Hey more money from selling parts.
This is a no brainer to me!

2 door will become a serious project...chop it, lift it to 8 inches will supporting components, 44 axles, all in time though
