I hated to do it. 3"blocks.
When I got my XJ I didnt know just how bad she had been treated. A radiator, power steering pump, Pads and rotors, fuel filter and the dreaded rear shocks later Im roadworthy. My leaf springs were shot. Today I put 3" blocks on. I know its a temp fix, but I had to do something, as the rear was sagging 2.75" lower than the front. She also must have had a coil spring change in the front. Its higher than stock. Im Going to get new P235/75/15s now. And save some more for a 3.5" leaf pack to make it right. As much work as its been, Ive learned a lot and aint afraid to do my own work. Needless to say the blocks gave me a half inch above the front. Looks good, and I know its a bandaid. This Forum has been my instruction manual. Thanks. So What should I expect when changing the leaf pack?

Buy lots of PB Blaster and soak the bolts a couple of days before trying to remove them and just replace the u bolts. They are cheap and a PITA to remove so I usually just cut them off with a torch or sawzall.
