So i went offroading in rain season and i was wondering what do i do know

Problems

-I hydro locked what could be damaged ?

-I definatly without a shadow of a doubt got water in my oil what do i do know ?

help me figure out what i need to do?

My thoughts I am running synthetic so im gonna about 3 oil changes in total and i don't want to waste money.

1)change oil with cheap conventional oil and cheap filter

2)Change oil again with crappy oil leave cheap filter

3)Change oil with synthetic and replace with new filter

may i add i think i got water in my oil due to sitting in the mud whole with a leaky RMS

just thru my experience, i had to change my oil a couple of times, spark plugs, and my map sensor....after a whole lot of starting fluid, finally got it running

well i got lucky i think..... its running i just need the oil to be out of the water

FREQUENT oil changes WITH filters. Don't need to use anything but conventional oil for these, at least until you are confident that you are okay.

An oil analysis after a while might not be a bad idea.

Why would their be water because of a head gasket? Unless you're thinking hes using water for cooling because hes in Cali. But he said he has a leaky rear main seal and he sat in mud(presumably the soupy variety) for a while.

As everyone else mentioned, change the oil several times with cheap junk oil and run it for a day or two and repeat, doing it twice is probably sufficient.

Was also thinking about checking my fluids, Hey kinda excited got a good deal here is what i bought 13.99 with a filter, also care to explain why i have hear people call it quaker mistake ?

Yup its happens to everyone but it was by choice try thinking about having to drive your jeep with water in your oil lol...... My oil leak is know water leak literally

What do you mean by twice how many oil changes for your recomendations?

1) Drain water oil fill with new qauker oil + filter run for a day ?

2) Empty fill again with qauker + filter since i got a deal, Then for another day

3) Last Fill with my Synpower Valvoline and tough guard filter


A question to everyone is there a problem that i am switching between synthetic back to conventional to clean my engine out they are both 10w-30?

1: Drain oil/water, leave the plug out and filter off for a couple hours
2: fill with new oil, put on new filter. Drive for a while
3: drain, leave filter and plug out for a couple hours
4: Refill, new filter. Drive for a while
5: Drain, refill with good oil, new filter.

Question: Why do you spend 25$ on oil, but use fram filters?

Ummm the part of why am i being cheap on the oil but using a expensive filter ?

Well i usally use Sypower Valvoline which is 30 dollars ford 5qts alone i dont want to flush it 2 times with that stuff.....so i bought 10qt's quaker for 40$ with 2 filters. Normally i run a pretty expensive oil so i mine as well change to a better filter i dont do this but on frams site it doesnt recommend changing the filter every oil change but every 7500 miles

Fram are morons, I use WIX for my filters, best bang for the buck. I buy them in packs of 50 and it costs me about 3$ a filter US, by the time it gets to my house its about 4$ a filter Canadian which is still cheaper than buying fram at the local parts store yet they're twice as good.

You're doing it right man, but on the last oil change use a good filter, i think thats all anyone is saying.
