Well I installed my lift today and I have a major problem. I got a Rough Country 6.5" lift and now the drive shaft won't angle down enough to connect it to the axle. I used the supplied transfer case drop it's about 1.5". I know that a sye is the best solution but i wont have the money for that for like 2 months and its my dd so I need it to work now. I'm thinking about notching the yoke but that doesnt seem like a good idea. It's got about 2.5" to drop to fit and thats with it on level ground. PLEASE HELP!!

Notching it is pretty much your only option by the sounds of it. Either that or get a slip yoke from a wrangler as they are already clearanced for the steeper ds angle. Not sure what your other options would be

Did you also install the included rear axle shims that come with the RC 6.5" lift kit. We installed this same exact lift on my son's 87 XJ and the DS worked fine with the TC drop and Axle shims.

This may sound silly but are the leaf springs centered in the perches. And you should go aheand and notch the yoke anyway. I had to notch mine after a I split a tcase in two. Some things you learn the hard way

The idea of installing a Wrangler slip yoke that BudgetXJ mentioned sounds like it might just work, too.
