The other day while sitting at a light my engine just shut off and now repeatedly my jeep will lose power and i can barely steer to where I have to shut it off and restart it.Any ideas what this could be?

 

Define lose power... Like lose electrical power? Or power from the motor like runs like crap?

 

So this only happens when idling? Any check engine light (if so, read codes)? Like cmartin said, need more specific info.

Shot in the dark is the Idle Air Controller and Throtle Position Sensor. Disassemble your throttle body and clean everything with TB cleaner.

Really though thats just a guess without any details or clarification...

 

K so thought I had fixed my problems when i fixed my battery terminals they were both loose but then coming home tonight all the sudden the wheel wouldnt turn left i could only turn right so i just turned off my engine and cranked it back up, it took several tries to finally get it to crank...
