Default I can't decide what size tire to get.

So I have a predicament with what size tire to get. Since I don't really plan on wheeling my Jeep for awhile I had a question as to what tire size to go for.

I've set out to get the Michelin A/T 2 after mulling over about it for awhile. I like Michelins. Good round tire.

The issue is that currently I have 30.00x9.50s on what seems to be a stock lift.

I had a tire blowout on a long trip and had to buy a cheap pepboys tire. Now the whole rig rides terrible. The tread on the Mickey Thompsons isn't really bad but I don't like em that much.

So my predicament is whether to buy the R235/75 michelin or start looking for another tire. They don't make that tire in 30x9.50.

They make it 31x10.50 which is a tire that I like but I don't think will fit unfortunately.

Not really sure which way to go at the moment. Does anyone know if you can trade in tires when you get new ones?

Or would it be best to keep them and craigslist them?

you can trade them in at discount tire but you wont get anything close to what they're worth. you'll get more money out of them if you sell them on CL. honestly michelin makes a great tire for passenger cars and suvs but the at2's aren't very impressive. they get out of round easy and cup very often. they also fall apart kinda easy. I would go with BFgoodrich or goodyear wrangler. if you go through discount, their pathfinder all-terrains aren't too bad for the money. also i believe they'll let you return tires if you dont think they fit right. not positive on that last one though.

hope that helped. good luck

So the A/T 2 is not as good as the original. Figures. I suppose I could look into the BFG. Tough decisions.

Another good tire to look at is the General Grabber AT2's..Look very similar to the BFG's but costs less.

My biggest concern is having a tire that doesn't vibrate the hell out my rig when I'm rolling at high speeds down the interstate while having the ability to take on adverse conditions in the mountains when I go north and see snow. I hate feeling vibrations at 70mph on the interstate.
