Default I bought a prius

......

Now that I have your attention..

I'm almost ready to throw my new motor in my 00. Few things I would like input on for some stuff I need to get before I throw er in.

Tranny cooler lines: ??

Tranny cooler: jc Whitney?

Motor mounts: brown dog?

Steering pump & bracket: Durango pump?

I've sort of browsed some options. What are your inputs on these necessities? I don't want any eBay crap parts.

Funny cause a buddy of mine traded his Wrangler in on a Prius last fall for better gas mileage. During the first real snow we got this past winter he was stuck and had to get pulled out by a guy driving a Wrangler, lol. Karma

Ha ha no way in hell would I buy one. I just don't wanna spend money on parts that don't last. Never had to buy any of these parts before. So I don't really know what to look for.

jegs has some good deals on tranny coolers. I just bought one of the tube/fin type. I know everyone loves the plate style but i kind of like how much more open the tube cooler is. I hope it means that its going to cool well, and the air going through isnt going to be super heated because it displaced so much heat in such a small area like I think the plate coolers do. Granted I have no evidence whatsoever to back this up. I could be 100% wrong, but it seems right in my brain, so im going to run with it. I purchased: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performan...rentProductId=
I could have swore i only paid 39.99 for it, but it was a while ago that I bought it. I am just getting around to putting it in now along with a closed to open radiator setup in my 90. I dont know if this cooler is going to fit very easy. I did a test fit before I pulled the old radiator out, and it is the same height as the radiator. It looks like I will be able to put it in, in the middle of the ac condenser so that the tranny cooler will get half of the manual fan and half of the efan if I need to flip a switch and help it cool.

I am also putting in brown dog motor mounts, they are pretty awesome! I haven't finished yet, only driver side in as we speak, but they are one heck of a unit. cant beat their customer service either! If you call them, be nice though, the brown dog just passed

B&M, Hayes, TCI, there are quite a few decent trans coolers out there. Size and price, pick what you need. I use plain old hose and double clamps on the ones I've put in, never a problem.

Just did my swap on my 88.
Brown dog mounts
Pacesetter headers
Blue rubber felpro valve cover and oil pan gaskets are a must!
Didn't have to mess with my lines but napa rad hoses were my choice
Get quality wires, cap and rotor button. Ngk plugs
(Don't remember if 00 had a coil pack or not?)
Other than that have fun!

Thanks for the input. So if I do rubber lines on the trans, it should be good? Just hose clamp em good and tight?

The only other thing is steering pumps. Is it worth it to upgrade? The stock one seemed fine with 33s, just figured I could upgrade it while I'm doing everything else.

Rubber lines are fine as long as they are suitable for ATF (don't know how you would figure that out)
And Durango is an upgrade but at 33's defiantly not necessary

No they don't. The cooler circuit usually runs less than 10 PSI and many have rubber (neoprene) lines as OE. Trans line pressure isn't sent through the cooler circuit.

X2 if they had 1500 psi it wouldn't flow.slow enough to cool. Anyways a nice transmission cooler is the derale one with a fan there's even one that can cool both trans and powersteering.
