Hyperlube in oil
i recently changed my oil about 4 days ago, and since i was having problems with a lifter tap, i put in my regular castrol gtx 10w-30, but substituted a quart of oil for a quart of hyperlube, and since then, my problem has not gotten any better it seems it has gotten worse. do you think it is because of the hyperlube is to thick and not getting to the top end? i wouldnt think so because 4.0l are like what 6.5 quart engines so i wouldnt even think it would make a difference if you substituet a quart for a quart. and i dont even think the 4.0l lifter are adjustable. dang

in not even sure i would run 10-30.i personally run 10-40 in the winter and 20-50 in the summer.the thicker oil might help with your lifter noise.cant hurt to try.hope that helps.

is it a poping sound inside the motor? very quick popping sound,,, bc I have a poping sound since I change my oil to 10w40... bc the previous owner used to put it 15w 40 and before that oil change it did not pop at all.... my next oil change im going back to 15w40
