I think there are some older older pics of my xj w/ 3" lift and 235's. I do not think it looks that silly.
If I had to do it again, I would have swapped the 4.10s first.
There should also be some semi-recent pics of my heep on 31's with 3"
Not sure what issues you had but my 31's with 3.55's are great... Plenty of pep, good mileage and great to wheel with. I wouldn't swap em.Originally Posted by Metmknice
Some of you say that, and I suppose it is "DO-able", but definitely not ideal. I was initially going to go 30's, but I got a great deal on 31" Dueler AT 693's already mounted on wheels. Drove it for a bit with stock gears, it SUCKED. And mpg took a hit. Swapped in a C8.25 with 4.10s, mileage went back up and I feel like it goes somewhere now.I think there are some older older pics of my xj w/ 3" lift and 235's. I do not think it looks that silly.

3 inches in the front, 4 in the rear. 31 mickey thompson baja claws. I swapped in 3.55's for mine from 3.07 and they are perfect for 31's, but thats a manual. Lots of pep, I was thinking about it while sitting in my jeep on lunch yesterday, and I have never actually pressed the pedal all the way to the floor while driving, lol.

I am running 2" spacers on stock wheels and obviously I get no rub. 1.25s would work.... But the 2's look KILLER.Originally Posted by kissthis66
How much backspacing are you guys running with the 31s to avoid tire rub?
