i feel like there are some simple steps to be taken here. but before suggesting anything i was wondering what some of the other symptoms are? any diff. when its cold to warm. throttle response. since its been cold there have been more posts of this nature... could be the TPS or AIC valve... have you tryed running good injector cleaner?

Hold off on those injectors. This is probably something else.

Replace those plugs. Cleaning is not of much value with the cost of new plugs. The best plug for the distributorless ignition of the 00-01 is the NGK. Gapped to .035

The best fuel system cleaner for PROBLEMATIC systems is BG44K. Hands down. It is really, really good, but is about $20. I use TECHRON (by Chevron) for a preventative additive. Wally World carries it for about $6.50.

Having to "tip in" the throttle to start the engine can be a faulty throttle position sensor. They can be tested and are only about $45 to replace.

well i got new plugs about 4 months ago so i figured they still would be good but its only a few bucks for some new ones. i used stp fuel additive twice since it was on sale at autozone and i know all this damn ethanol is horrible for our jeeps. thanks for all the input man
