How do you remove the steering satbilizer bolt that connects to the tire rod. It has a nut with a carter pin on the front and a nut on the back. Tried to bang out but no go. Trid to break loose the nut in the back, again no go. Any words of advise?
I had to heat Ethe tie rod with a torch, then once hot I hit the nut side of the shock bolt with a hammer ... came out after a few hits ...

this is what I found on a search:
Steering stabilizer was a challange until I got the right tool. I tried a hammer, gear puller and other assorted things to get the bolt out of the tie rod. Once I got a loaner Pitman Tie Rod Puller from the parts store it took about 15 minutes.
did remove the pin and i got that nut loose after multiple PB applications. sounds like I need to fire up the torch!!!

just for future reference for all others trying to do the same thing, and if they search...
once the nut is removed, you could hit the bulge in the drag link with a hammer and the tapered stud should just pop out.
same idea works with tie rod ends.
