Hey now, there're no dummies in this place!

I just flushed my system and I never bothered about the lower hose. On my -90 XJ, there's a screw to the lower left on the radiator which is the drain plug.
I took off the grill, unscrewed it and voila, dirty coolant coming out!

Then I just kept adding water into the reservoir til it came out fresh at the radiator. Ta daa!

But, I'm a novice, so I know there're guys in here that knows better and wouldn't be satisfied with my job

Try search as well!

Since when? LOL
Anyways, All you need to do is get some pliers and get a hold of the hose clamp and squeeze it. Slide it up the hose. Then grab the hose and give it a twist it should come off.
You can do like seww said. But the only problem is that the petcock are pretty weak and a lot of time they will crack and cause a leak.
Hope this helps out some.

The lower rad hose is literally the hose coming off the rad at the bottom, underneath the air box.

Both. That way you can flush the radiator by it's self. I just did this on my 98 over the weekend. Also disconnect the hoses to the heater core so you can also flush that separately.

The lower radiator hose is on the driver side of the radiator. It runs from the radiator to the water pump

Yes, the lower radiator hose is the LARGE hose that is visible from under the Jeep.

The water pump is the part that is bolts to the block directly behing the large pulley in the center front of the block.

The heater core is not visible but is mounted in the dash inside the Jeep. The two smaller hoses that run in to the firewall go to the heater core.

The grey funny shaped thing below the gold shiney thing that has a metal line running to it is the water pump. .
