1999 Cherokee Sport. The black rub strip in the drivers door is damaged. It appears they are not screwed on, but stuck on with tape, or adhesive. What is the best way to remove them w/o damaging either the rub strip or the paint? What is the best way at a junk yard where there is no access to power, or heat?

Once you remove it, half the sticky foam crap will come with it. The other half will be stuck to the paint. It takes heat, Goof Off, and time to remove that sticky mess. Also, once the strip is removed, it curls and would be very annoying to try and put back on. Just remove all the trim and remove the sticky adhesive and it'll look great.
