Default how to pull pitman arm???

Im putting a dropped pitman arm on and was wondering what type of puuler to use.As in is it actually called a pit man arm puller or is it like an average puller with three or so hook arms.any help would be great,plan on install to nite.thanks

Last time I did one they were called a pitman arm puller. I borrowed one from Autozone..

Cool,I just did'nt know if it was like the u- joint tool which is actually a ball joint press.and I need to be real specific cause if I dont know exactly what it is called,the local auto zone crew sure heck wont know.I think it's the same application to flip hamburgers as it is to work at the zone.thank forthe help

yep, pitman arm puller is specific for that job.

you use a pitman arm puller... what you do is you get is set up and start to turn it.. when ever it gets to a point where you cant turn it any more you take a hammer and hit the end of it.. this allows it to loosen up some and you start to turn again.. it is a somewhat lengthy process but if you dont take your time and use the hammer to tap it then you will break the pitman arm puller

pitman arm puller, or tie rod puller.
i've used my tie-rod puller many times for this.
available at all auto parts stores. for like 20 bux.
